Homeless Outreach
The Bible is clear about the church’s moral call to alleviate suffering around us. Proverbs 19:17 offers a powerful word to those who do: “Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD, and He will give a reward to the lender.” The Minor Prophets repeatedly call God’s people to defend the weak and provide for the needs of the impoverished.
Our Homeless Ministry is the first Thursday of each month. Transportation is provided or you may follow in your own vehicle. The van leaves the church at 5:00 pm. Angela & Wayne Judy provide the food for the Homeless and approximately 200 homeless people are served a meal in downtown Charlotte.
